Hello, friends! If any of you are still out there…I know I haven’t blogged in a while. Today, I wanted to share with you my February Favorites but before I do, I will explain why you haven’t seen a post from me since January. I guess I’ve just been in a mode where I’m rethinking a lot of what I do and why I do it. It’s probably because my word of the year is “intentional” and I am determined to really live that out. I don’t want to write because I have a blog and that’s what I’m supposed to do. I want to offer something valuable and worth your time and mine.
Posting just to post so I can put a checkmark next to that item on my to-do list just doesn’t seem like the best use of my time.
So…where do I go from here?
Maybe I’m just overthinking and I should post whenever I feel the desire about whatever I want to post about? It doesn’t have to be deep or life-changing or super creative and crafty. It could just be whatever strikes my fancy at any given time. Since I don’t do this for monetary gain, I can basically do whatever I want, right? Right!
With the hopes that someone will enjoy reading it of course. Ahem.
Don’t get me wrong, I want to post content that makes you want to keep reading…content that inspires and uplifts and all that jazz but sometimes, I put unnecessary pressure on myself to put out the “perfect” post and that, my friends, is ALL on me.
Typing that out was strangely cathartic. I could probably delete all of this and just start my post presenting my February Favorites but, I won’t. I won’t because I’m nothing if not real. And this? This is real.
Okay. Now, that I’ve gotten that out of my system…here’s what I’m going to do:
- Keep blogging but do it from a new perspective: no overthinking, no pressure, just write!
- Remember Number 1 on this list whenever I start overanalyzing.
- Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!
- Repeat 1-3 as often as I can.
And with that, I present to you…my February Favorites!! Or at least 2 of them anyway. 😉
First, this amazing canvas from Photobucket I purchased on super sale!! I got an email from Photobucket saying all canvas prints were on sale for 70% off so, I jumped on it! I chose a picture I had taken from our Disney trip last summer of a beautiful sunset overlooking a lake in Downtown Disney, uploaded it, chose the size, and ordered. It was that easy, it only cost around $30, and I love how it turned out!
Of course, I’m thinking of overhauling all my living room décor so it may move but for now, it is happily displayed over my sectional sofa.
Second, is this makeshift charging station I came up with after getting super sick of seeing all our devices lying out on the counters plugged into multiple outlets. Once we got our Apple Watches, something HAD to be done. So, I went to my favorite store in the history of ever, Target, and happened upon this desk organizer and matching letter tray. They stacked beautifully and hold ALL our devices (3 phones, 3 tablets, and 2 watches, plus a few extra items the husband carries in his pocket every day). We didn’t have to drill holes or anything, we just plugged everything into a $3 surge protector we bought at Lowe’s and called it a day. It was simple, inexpensive ($26 total) and works beautifully! Mama is happy!!
Thank you for reading my cathartic intro to this post. If you kept reading after that, God bless you!! Haha! No, but seriously… God bless you.
I hope you loved my February Favorites!
If you want to get a great canvas wall hanging from Photobucket, register to receive emails and wait until they send you a special deal and then go for it! I’m not sponsored by them but I think they did a great job so I highly recommend purchasing from Photobucket. They also do framed pictures if you prefer that option. But again…wait for a special. It’s worth it.
The desk organizer and letter tray from Target are Threshold products and can be found in the office supply section of your local Target or, you can click here and order the desk organizer and letter tray on their website. Did I mention, Target is my favorite? I did? Well, it is!!
That’s all for now because my Apple Watch (one of my other new favorites…which I got on super sale by the way) is telling me it’s time for me to stand up so, thanks for stopping by…I’m gonna go stand up and walk around now. 😉
Until next time…xoxo –
